Pine Tree Signs Bruce Boruszak as VP
and General Counsel
LAKE BLUFF, ILL. (January 27, 2006) -- Pine
Tree Commercial Realty, LLC of Lake Bluff, Ill., announced
the appointment of Chicago area lawyer and CPA Bruce
Boruszak as the firm’s new Vice President and
General Counsel. Boruszak joins Pine Tree most recently from
the Chicago law firm Wildman, Harrold,
Allen & Dixon LLP, where he was partner and co-chair
of the Real Estate Practice Group. He has been an active member
of the bar in Illinois and California since 1982 and 2003
respectively.
“His many years of negotiating a
breadth of commercial deals is a real asset to our company,”
says Pine Tree founding partner Barry
Herring. In the past 20 years, Boruszak has documented
and negotiated real estate transactions, workouts and joint
ventures; structured real estate acquisitions and developments
for shopping centers and other commercial projects; and has
handled leasing, dispositions, financing and tax-deferred
exchanges. Boruszak has also coordinated construction and
permanent financing, as well as loan workouts for both borrowers
and lenders, and he has represented both landlords and tenants
of shopping centers, office buildings and industrial facilities.
Boruszak received his Bachelor of Science
with highest honors from the University
of Illinois, and his Juris Doctor cum laude from the
University of Michigan,
where he was also an associate editor of the University
of Michigan Journal of Law Reform and a member of the
Order of the Coif. He has
the highest peer rating (AV) granted by Martindale
Hubbell.
Boruszak currently serves on the Dean’s
Business Advisory Council for the University
of Illinois College of Business and is on the board
of directors for the University of Illinois College of Business
Alumni Association. He is a member of the
International Council of Shopping Centers, the Illinois
and California Bar Associations, and the American
Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
